Free website build

The offer. We build a website for your business at no cost to you. If you love it, we put it live under our normal plans. If you don't, you don't pay anything and we give you the website files to keep.

1. Who can apply. A business operating in New Zealand, represented by an owner or someone who can decide for it. One free build per business. We review each request and may decline one we cannot do well (for example an online shop with hundreds of products, or a business we cannot verify).
2. What we build. A real, working website: a home page and up to four further pages, written and designed from what you tell us and your public business information, with your logo if you have one. It is built to be put live, not a mock-up.
3. What we need from you. Answers to a short set of questions, and any photos or details you want included. We aim to have it ready within one working day of receiving them.
4. One round of changes. After you see it you can ask for one round of changes before you decide.
5. 14 days to decide. Your 14 days start the moment we send you the email with the link to your website, and end exactly 14 days later (we show the end time in New Zealand time). If you go ahead and pay the deposit within those 14 days, you get 15% off your domain, hosting and SSL security in your first year.
6. If you want to go ahead, we send a written proposal with the setup fee and monthly plan at our current prices, with the 15% off where it applies. Nothing is charged until you accept it. Once it is paid, we put the site live and look after it under that plan.
7. If you don't want it, tell us. You pay nothing, and within 5 working days we send you the complete website as a folder of standard files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images) with a one-page guide to putting it online with any web host. You can use it however you like for your business.
8. What the free handover does not include: hosting, a domain name, email, putting it online for you, ongoing updates, our client portal, or our form service (the contact form needs a form service of your choosing to send messages). Images we include are either yours or licensed for you to use.
9. No obligation. Asking for a build does not commit you to anything.
10. Privacy. We use what you give us only to build the site and contact you about it.
